Last night I went on a bit of an online spending spree and I have to say I am super impressed with the funky (yes, I said funky) clothing for this year’s summer festival fashion. This is SO ME! I love this fun clothing even on a night out, if only it was acceptable to wear it erryday! From sequins, tassels, holographic, mesh, leopard print, rainbow stripes and even flares. High street retailers are killing it! It get’s me so so SO excited for summer activities!
Dare to flare
For last few years, fashion forecasters predicted flares were to come back into fashion and as you can see online they were not wrong.
Though this particular style has been a slow burner, I reckon the reasons are:
1. People hesitate to move away from their old faithful skinny fit jeans/trousers.
2. Not confident or sure how to style these
Well, let me show you my latest purchase, and how you can dress them up or down!
Pretty Little Things
Red Extreme Flare Trousers
This bargain (£15!) red high waisted flares fit beautifully and accentuates the waist, PLUS for that price, I think they are a wardrobe staple ready and waiting for a spontaneous night out. Shop now
Just to add… I’m 5ft 10 with 34inch inside leg and these fit a charm – honestly, I was quite shocked as I usually stick to my tiny Tall section but as it is free returns I thought I would give them a go and they fit puuuurfect.
Team it up with…
Now I don’t like baring too much skin this early on in the year so I would dress these bad boys up with a black long sleeve crop top (See Boohoo Olivia Long Sleeve Tie Front Crop Top – £15) showing a tiny bit of tummy as the flares are high waisted.
Going out for a few cocktails?
…Which probably will end in going out-out anyway
I like the idea of just throwing on a basic tee with this and small heels, just like these cuties: Darla Two Part Block Heel Sandals from Topshop £25.
